Reusing Displays

Hi Guys,

I am deeming February a month of bringing back old displays!

I put up three new bulletin board / window displays this week that I haven’t used in a few years.

This is why you should save everything!

Hooked On Books! — Some fish (made out of hearts), some googly eyes and a cute bookworm.

Very hungry for a good book! — I may jazz this up a little more but for now, it’s like the easiest caterpillar ever!

Library Lovers Month — We accucut hearts and they kind of look like sweet tarts when the kids all post them up there.

Be A Super Reader!

Hi Guys,

We are starting to get geared up for our MoComCon library comic con in January, so I figured this would be the perfect time to do a superhero bulletin board display.

First I cut out a silhouette of some skyscrapers and glued little yellow windows on it. That was probably what took the most time honestly.

Finished it up with a spotlight saying “BE A SUPER READER” and a few superheroes and ta-da!

Fun and fairly easy display.

That’s all for now!

Gobble Up A Good Book!

I don’t know why I can’t take a straight picture of this bulletin board! That being said… it is now November, so the ghosts had to come down and the turkey goes up. IMG_3392

This was a very easy display that I adapted from one I saw up on Pinterest. The whole bulletin board itself is the turkey’s body.

I made eyes from the bottoms of paper plates and a “3D” turkey mouth.

My “feathers” actually have book titles on them. I thought about putting the picture of the book covers on the feathers but they looked more feather-y handwritten like this.

Quick, easy and silly looking! Just the way I like it.

That’s all for now!

Books Are Fab-BOO-lous!

Hi Guys! This is another very quick display for October. Things have been crazy here, so easy but fun is key!

I love Halloween and anything I can put out there with out specifically stating “Halloween,” is totally up my ally.

This one is a simple play on words, as you can tell! Enjoy!

That’s all for now!

“ANT”-icipating a great year!

Another fun Pinterest idea that I made my own! We are heading toward the tail-end of summer and I am sooo ready for some new displays, so I thought I’d start off with this fun back to school idea.

Th picnic blanket took the longest–and yes, it is crooked–but I could not for the life of me figure out any other way to make it other than weaving paper strips together. Then, I had to disfigure it a bit to get it to fit in my laminate. Sigh.

Overall, I think it came out pretty good though.
