For my next sensory storytime, I wanted to use a book with interactive elements. So I chose The Button Book by Sally Nicholls and Bethan Woollvin.
This is actually a great interactive lap read because there is a lot of touching and pushing of the buttons in the book.
For my group, I made felt buttons that the kids can take turns pressing and I will make the sound effects or tell them what actions to do.
You can talk about the shapes and colors of the buttons to add a STEM element to the story.
Hopefully, it will get the kids more involved with the story.
That’s all for now!
