House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J. Mass is the second book in the Crescent City series.
Bryce Quinlan and Hunt Athalar are doing their best to live a "normal" life; they want to mind their own business and see where their budding relationship takes them. But that's easier said than done after saving Crescent City last spring. But, the Asteri have promised to leave them alone and so far, they are keeping their word.
Bryce and Hunt may long for normality, but with whispers of rebel uprisings and missing kids, the pair may be unable to steer clear of the fire for long.
For anyone who has read this book... THAT ENDING! I may die waiting for the next one. Sarah J. Mass, you just had to do that to us, didn't you?!
Man oh man, is there a lot going on in this book. Lot's of characters, lot's of plot lines and I won't lie, I am a little nervous about them all tying together, especially with this cliffhanging leading us to more intersecting storylines. So far, so good. I just hope some characters aren't left behind because there is so much to cover.
Am I going to get yelled at if I say that, Mass' books, at this point, are for the fandom. If you're new to Mass' books, do yourself a favor and read her series in the order they were published and just embrace it for the guilty pleasure it is. I am just amazed at how much Mass is able to produce every year. That in-itself is a feat.
I enjoyed this one and can't wait to see where it ultimately goes. This one gets 4 stars from me.
That's all for now!
